What you'll pay with insurance:

Most clients pay between $0-$30 per session with their insurance. Your exact copay or coinsurance depends on your specific plan.

Not sure if we accept your insurance?

Contact us with your insurance information, and we'll verify your coverage and let you know your estimated out-of-pocket cost before your first session. We handle the billing directly with your insurance company—no surprises.

Self-Pay & Out-of-Network

Self-Pay Rate

$200 per session

If you prefer not to use insurance or if your plan isn't in-network, you can pay directly. Sessions are typically 50 minutes.

Superbills for Reimbursement

If your insurance plan has out-of-network benefits, we provide detailed superbills that you can submit to your insurance company for partial or full reimbursement.

We'll provide all the documentation you need. Many clients recover 50-80% of the session cost through out-of-network reimbursement, depending on their plan.

Why Some Men Choose Self-Pay

  • Complete privacy: No insurance company records or diagnoses required
  • Flexible scheduling: No insurance authorization delays
  • Session frequency control: Meet as often as needed without insurance limitations

Group Therapy & Community Pricing

Group Therapy Sessions

$0-$30 copay with insurance

Most insurance plans cover group therapy at a lower copay than individual sessions. Your exact copay depends on your specific plan.

$75 per session self-pay

For those without insurance or preferring not to use insurance

Community Membership

Free for active therapy clients

Included with individual or group therapy at no additional cost

$95/month for inactive clients

For those who've completed therapy but want to maintain community access

Policies & Logistics

Cancellation Policy

We require 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice are charged the full session fee.

We understand that emergencies happen. If you have an unexpected situation, reach out—we'll work with you when we can.

Payment Methods

We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, HSA cards, and FSA cards. Payment is collected at the time of service.

We keep a card on file for scheduling purposes and charge it automatically after each session. You'll receive a receipt via email.

Insurance Not Accepted

We do not accept MassHealth (Medicaid) at this time. If you have MassHealth coverage, we can provide referrals to providers who accept it.

Good Faith Estimate

Under federal law, you have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" of expected charges for therapy services. We'll provide this before or at your first session. If you have questions about your bill, you have the right to dispute it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know what my insurance will cover?

When you book your free consultation, we'll ask for your insurance information and verify your benefits before your first session. We'll tell you exactly what you'll owe per session—no guessing.

Do you offer sliding scale fees?

We have limited sliding scale spots available for clients experiencing financial hardship. If cost is a barrier, mention it during your consultation—we'll discuss options.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Yes. Therapy services are HSA and FSA eligible. You can use your HSA or FSA card directly for payment.

What happens if I need to cancel last minute?

If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice, you'll be charged the full session fee. This policy exists because therapists reserve that time specifically for you. If there's an emergency or extenuating circumstance, reach out—we handle situations case by case.

Do I need to pay upfront if I'm using insurance?

You only pay your copay or coinsurance at the time of service. We bill your insurance company directly for the rest. If there's any discrepancy after insurance processes the claim, we'll let you know.

What if I don't want my insurance to know I'm in therapy?

Choose self-pay. When you pay out-of-pocket, no information goes to your insurance company—no claims, no diagnoses, no record. Many men prefer this for privacy reasons, especially in sensitive career situations.
